FIRE IS EXTINGUISHED BUT LOSS IS $874,700

CASPER, Wyo., June 21.---(AP)---After burning steadily for 48 hours the fire which was started Friday when a bolt of lightning struck a big oil tank on the Midwest Refining company's tank farm, finally was extinguished Monday night. According to an estimate given out at the company's offices today the loss will amount to $874,700 which does not include $23,000 estimated expense in fighting the flames for two days. About three hundred sixty thousand barrels of oil were consumed by the fire, officials of the company announced.
