TANNERY FACTORY IN FLAMES.
Merrill, Wis., Aug 29 -- Fire of unknown origin entirely destroyed the plant of the Michigan Tannery and Extract company yesterday afternoon at Merrill. Conservative estimates place the loss at a half million dollars. It is believed that the plant was fully protected by insurance.
