Grand Rapids, WI House Fire, Jul 1907

Jack Baker Burned Out.
Jack Baker, who resides just north of the city, lost his house and good portion of the contents on Thursday night, the residence being struck by lightning and burned to the ground. The loss is a severe one to Mr. Baker, as most of his household goods went with the building. Since the fire the family have been making their residence in the barn, which stood far enough from the house to escape the flames.
