WORKMAN IN SAWMILL HAS FOOT CUT OFF

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis., May 11.----Fred Draper, 24 years old, got his foot cut off while working at a sawmill at Springbrook. The crew was sawing a log that was not very sound and some of the rotten part of the log stuck to the saw. Draper attempted to kick it off, and the saw caught his shoe, throwing it off just above the ankle.
