Menasha, WI Sawmill Fire, Jul 1880

WEBSTER & LAWSON'S saw mill at Menasha was totally consumed by fire Sunday, about noon. The origin of the fire is entirely unknown. The flames secured such headway before they were discovered that it was impossible to check them, and all efforts were directed toward preventing a spread of the fire to the pail factory. The fire was continued entirely to the mill, which was wholly consumed. No lumber of consequence was damaged.
