FORMER OSHKOSH MAN KILLED IN AUTO MISHAP NEAR CAMPBELLSPORT
(By United Press.)
Campbellsport, Wis.,---John Smith, 40, Oshkosh, formerly a carpenter at Berlin and Fond du Lac, was killed and two companions were slightly injured when the car in which they were riding turned a complete somersault on a highway near here last night and then again righted itself.
Smith was found in the back seat of the machine. His neck had been broken. D. E. Moulton, Fond du Lac, driver, and Wilfred Buslaff, Campbellsport, remained in their seats and were only slightly injured.
(The John Smith mentioned in the above dispatch was employed for about a year by the Wisconsin Power & Light company in this city, working in the shops and as a motorman.
From the Oshkosh utility company, he was transferred, some time ago, to the shops at Fond du Lac.
He has a wife living in this city at 917 Seventeenth-street but when the police went to the residence this morning, they were informed that Mrs. Smith, accompanied by a friend, had taken a taxi to the Northwestern depot Friday afternoon and left for Milwaukee on the 4 o'clock train.)
