TOWN OF BRUNSWICK, EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, IS VISITED AND CONSIDERABLE HAVOC IS WROUGHT.

STRIKES FARMING SECTION.

SEVERAL HOUSES AND WINDMILLS ARE DEMOLISHED – KITCHEN IS CARRIED MILE AND A HALF AND PICTURE IS TRANSFERRED FROM ONE FARM HOUSE TO SITTING ROOM OF ANOTHER – VAST GRAN FIELDS IN NORTH DAKOTA RUINED BY HAIL.

Milwaukee, Wis., Aug. 24 – A Wisconsin special from Eau Claire, Wis., says: A tornado struck the Town of Brunswick last night. Several houses and windmills were blown down. At the MOSES farm the roof of the house was blown off and the kitchen was carried a mile and a half.

One peculiar thing was that a large picture in another farm house was carried a long distance and blown into the sitting room of the MOSES farm.

SIX PEOPLE INJURED.

St. Paul, Minn., Aug. 24 – A special to the Dispatch from Eau Claire says the tornado which struck in the vicinity of Brunswick last night destroyed six dwellings there, among them being the home of C.P. MOSES and J.H. McELROY, and injured six persons, one of whom was a child of C.P. MOSES.

In Pleasant Valley and Clear Creek, besides the Methodist Church, which was destroyed, were the barns of DAN LEWIS, WILLIAM STOLP, EDWARD KNEELAND, CHARLES STUEBER, DANIEL HART, all new buildings. Grain stacks were carried high in the air and sheaves of wheat in the fields were scattered for miles.
