THE FIERY FIEND.

THE ANTIGO CONFLAGRATION AND OTHER FIRES.

Further Particulars of the Big Lumber Fire at Antigo—Matters are Considerably Mixed as to Actual Losses.

THE ANTIGO FIRE.

Complete and accurate information concerning the losses at the big lumber fire at Antigo yesterday, and the different parties interested has not been obtainable today. J. H. Wood left for Antigo this morning without having received further advices. D. L. Libbey also went up today to look after the interests of the Williamson & Libbey Lumber company, and members of the Paine Lumber company were this afternoon unable to give any additional information. The business arrangements of the different firms who sustained losses by the fire appear to be so complicated by different contacts for lumber and for sawing logs, that at present it seems impossible to ascertain just how much each has lost and to what extent they are secured. It was, however, learned this afternoon that the Williamson & Libbey Company have $11,000 insurance on lumber on which they have advanced $26,000 toward paying for the expenses of hauling and cutting, and that the firm is secured for the remainder by a land contract on some pine land situated in the vicinity of Antigo. As nearly as can be ascertained the losers and the value of their property destroyed are as follows:
