Viroqua, WI plumber falls 40 feet, Apr 1937

Plumber Tumbles 40 Feet, Isn't Hurt, Goes on Laboring
VIROQUA, Wis., April 23 (AP). - A forty-foot fall did not disturb Frank Wintz, 61, a plumber.
Wintz was repairing a roof drain when he decided to take a smoke. He filled his briar and was about to strike a match when something gave way. Down went Wintz - twenty-eight feet to a porch roof and twelve more feet to the ground.
Unhurt, he found the pipe still in his mouth, and the match in his hand. Wintz calmly lit his pipe and returned to work.
