Appleton, WI tornado, Jul 1901

TORNADO IN WISCONSIN.

APPLETON, Wis., July 2. - (Associated Press.) - A small tornado passed over Outagami[e] county last evening doing much damage. At Appleton creek one man was killed by lightning and throughout the county much stock is reported killed.

Small Tornado Ravages

Appleton, Wis., July 2. - A small tornado passed over Outagami[e] last evening doing much damage. At Appleton creek one man was killed by lightning and throughout the county much stock was killed.

At Ka[u]kauna several buildings were unroofed and many trees blown down. At Hortonville, Mackville and Greenville the damage to trees, factories, and farm property was large.

Crops in the vicinity of Appleton were beaten into the ground by the heavy rain and hail. Grain and small fruits are believed to be ruined.
