Kenova, WV Train Accident, Feb 1902

FAT MAN SHAKEN UP.
Hurled More Than One Hundred Feet by Fast Train.
A. J. Cochran, living near Kenova, who was struck by a C. & O. train and was supposed to be fatally injured, is reported as getting along nicely.
How Mr. Cochran escaped being killed is a mystery. He weighs two hundred and sixteen pounds and was hurled through the air, striking on the frozen snow, but strange to say, not a bone was broken, and so far as can be ascertained, he sustained no serious internal injuries.
While a mass of bruises from head to foot the injured man is resting well and in a fair way to recovery.
The train was not injured.
