FOUR CHILDREN DIE IN FIRE
West Virginia Blaze Also Ruins Farm Home.
SITERSVILLE [sic], W. Va., April 18 – (AP) – Four children were burned to death late last night when fired destroyed their home on McElroy Creek, 15 miles from here.
The dead, all children of MR. AND MRS. DENTON TENNAT, were VONDA, 8; BRUCE, 10; GARNET, 7; and BETTY LEE, 3.
The parents, downstairs, attempted rescue but were driven back by the flames.
