ROCK FALL KILLS SHOVEL OPERATOR.

Pound, Va. (AP) -- A 35-year-old coal shovel operator, BILLY B. GIBSON, Norton, was killed late yesterday afternoon when a rock fall crushed and demolished his vehicle during a coal stripping operation.
GIBSON was working at the controls of the shovel for the Withco Coal Corp. at a mine in the Bold Camp section of Wise County, near here.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
