Four NYA Men Drown As Boat Capsizes

GRANTVILLE, W. Va., June 13 (AP). - Four young men drowned Monday in the Little Kanawha River, swollen to an eighteen-foot stage by rains, after their boat capsized. Four others in the boat swam to safety.

The dead, all employed by the National Youth Administration: Claude McCune, 19, of Nicut, Gracy Allen, 21, of Millstone, John Bowers, 21, of Big Bend, Cecil Truman, 22, of Oka.

The group of eight was crossing the fast current in the skiff to work in a quarry for stone being used in a NYA camp.
