THREE DEATHS IN CROSSING SMASH.
WOMAN, CONFUSED BY COMPANION'S SCREAM, DRIVES ON CROSSING -- AUTO WRECKED.

Portland, Ore., Aug. 31. -- Three persons were killed and four injured, one perhaps fatally, when a Spokane, Portland & Seattle gasoline motor coach struck an autoobile yesterday afternoon on a crossing just east of Underwood, Wash.
The dead are:
MRS. AARON LARSON, 28, driver of the automobile, Underwood, Wash.
LEONA COLE, 19, Portland.
JACQUELINE COLE, 10, her sister.
The mother of the two girls, MRS. CECIL COLE, is seriously injured and is in a hospital. She is a sister of MRS. LARSON. Her 6-year-old son, CHARLES, sustained cuts and bruises and her daughter, OLIVE, has slight injuries. ESTHER LARSON, eight, daughter of the driver of the car who was killed, is in a Hood River hospital.
MRS. LARSON is reported to have become confused when MRS. COLE saw the approaching motor coach and screamed, so that she drove in front of it after losing control.
