Discovery Bay, WA Coast Guard Patrol Plane Crash, Apr 1943
4 COAST GUARD FLIERS KILLED.
Seattle, April 7. -- (AP) -- The four occupants of a coast guard patrol plane were fatally injured, when the craft crashed into a hill near Discovery Bay on the Olympic peninsula, coast guard headquarters reported today.
Lieut. Comdr. FREDERICK, L. WESTBROOK, of Kansas City, Mo., and Radioman1 THURLOW E. KESNER, of Port Angeles, Wash., were killed outright.
Lieut. (J.G.) CARL R. HEUSSY, former Seattle attorney, and EARL H. MUYSKENS, CAP, aviation pilot, of Port Angeles, died during the night in a Port Angeles hospital.
