GREENE COUNTY NATIVE PLANE CRASH VICTIM.

New Castle, Va. (UPI) -- The bodies of four plane crash victims were recovered Friday on a fog-shrouded mountain top.
State police said the victims were ROBERT J. KRABER, 51, and RAY E. KOVARIK, 41, of suburban Cleveland: JERRY BURKHOLDER, of Garwood, N. J., and the pilot, TOM KEEFER of White Sulphur Springs.
BURKHOLDER was a native of Nemacolin, Greene County, Pa., and a former resident of Pittsburgh.
The crash occurred Thursday shortly after the single-engine Cessna 220, operated as an air taxi by Greenbrier Airport, Inc., left Roanoke bound for the mountain resort at White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.
The plane went down on Potts Mountain, a 3,500-foot peak located in a remote area about five miles off U. S. 314. The wreckage was not discovered until Friday morning because of fog.
KRABER was identified as the district manager of the Magnus Chemical Co.'s Cleveland operation, and BURKHOLDER was an account executive for Magnus. KOVARIK was vice president of the Durox Equipment, Co.
All three were members of the "Romers" a national organization of executives in the railroad industry and related fields.
BURKHOLDER was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Burkholder of Namacolin.
BURKHOLDER, 32, was a 1950 graduate of Carmichaels High School, attended West Virginia University and was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed by the Magnus Chemical Engineering Co. as assistant national accounts manager in sales and marketing. He had been an outstanding golfer at the Namacolin Country Club.
The body will be taken to the Leasako funeral home, Carmichaels.
