BIG FIRE AT HOT SPRINGS.
RICHMOND, Va., July 3. – (Associated Press.) – Telegrams received here this (Wednesday) morning say the big Homestead Hotel is on fire and will be destroyed. No loss of life.
LATER – The Homestead Hotel was totally destroyed. It now looks as if the Virginia House and Chesapeake & Ohio railway station are safe. Loss $500,000. The report that no one was hurt is confirmed.

Retreat for Rich Destroyed by Fire.
RICHMOND, July 3. – The Homestead Hotel at Virginia How Springs was totally destroyed by fire early today. It had a capacity of 450 guests and had numbered among its patrons many of the most prominent people of the United States including President and Mrs. McKinley and the members of the cabinet. Extensive improvements were recently made at a cost of $300,000.
