Rutland, VT Church Step Accident, Sept 1895

Bishop Hall Severely Injured.

RUTLAND, Vt., Sept. 28.----Bishop A. C. A. Hull of the Episcopal Dioese of Vermont has met with an accident of considerable severity. He was entering St. Thomas's Church, at Brandon, where he was to preach in the evening, when he made a misstep, falling fifteen feet, severely injuring his ankle. He preached, as intended, suffering intense pain. He was unable to be removed to his home, and will not be able to walk for some time, even if his injuries do not prove permanent. This accident interrupts a series of appointed Episcopal visitations. Bishops of other dioceses will probably be called upon to aid him.
