Two Slightly Injured In Crash On Rte. 67-A

Two persons were slightly injured when a car and pickup truck collided early Monday morning at the entrance to Bennington College, on Rt. 67A.

According to State Police, Robert N. Lieder, 22, of Essex Falls, N. J., driver of one vehicle, suffered a lacerated wrist. A passenger, Knoel Alsdorf of Canajoharie, N. Y., sustained slight lacerations of the head. A second passenger, Tom Hamilton of Pittsburgh, Pa., was not injured. All three are Dartmouth College students.

State Police said the Lieder car, owned by the Beach Electric Company, was coming out of the college road, went through a stop sign and crashed into the pickup truck owned and operated by Orville Peterson, 38, of Bennington, which was traveling toward North Bennington.

Tprs. James Cressey and William Kitchell, who investigated the mishap, said the Lieder car was almost demolished. They estimated moderate damage to the Peterson vehicle.
