A Sad Drowning Accident.

The only son of W. A. Robinson of Fairfax, 13 years old, was drowned in the Lamoille river, Friday, while bathing. His father had previously refused his consent for him to go but he was away from home that day, and the mother consented that the boy might go fishing. Being with another boy, they concluded to have a swim. After that was over, and he was about to dress, he slipped from the stone on which he was standing and fell backwards. It is supposed he was taken with cramp, as he sank and his companion was unable to rescue him and did not have the presence of mind to shout for help. The lost lad was uncommonly bright and promising and his poor mother is almost distracted.
