Gin Burned

Fannin, Tex, Aug 10 - (Special.) - The fine gin belonging to the estate of Benson Goff burned at 6 o'clock this morning. The building had revently [sic] been remodeled and was comparatively new. Four new gin stands and feeders had been put in. There was a square bale press; also the Planters round bale press attached.

Fire broke out in the gin stand and feeder about 3 p.m. yesterday. It is thought to have caught from a match or friction. This was the only gin within eight miles and the loss is a great calamity to the public as well as the owners. This is the second gin lost on the present site by Mr. Goff.
