San Angelo, Tex., Feb. 1.-News has just reached here that the records of Coke county were destroyed by fire Friday night [January 30, 1891] at Robert Lee, the new county seat which was moved from Hayrick by a small majority vote on the 6th of last month. No clew [sic] is known as to who perpetrated the deed. This makes the second time during the last twelve months that the Coke county records have been destroyed by fire.
