SUCCUMBS TO HER INJURIES.

Mrs. R. M. Humphries, Who Was Hurt in the Santa Fe Wreck, Died, Yesterday.

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS.

Brownwood, Tex., Sept. 4. - Mrs. R. M. Humphries died today from injuries received in the wreck on the Santa Fe. All others who were injured in the wreck it is thought will recover. Mrs Humphries will be buried here tomorrow at 10 o'clock. Rev R. M. Humphries, husbands [sic] of the deceased, has been here about a week, coming from Houston ahead of his family to secure a home. The unfortunate family was on the wrecked train - the mother, four daughters and one son, and all were injured. One daughter may not recover.

Mrs. Humphries Reported to Have Died of Her Injuries

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

San Angelo, Tex., Sept 3 - Last night a Santa Fe passenger train ran into a washout near Zephyr, about nineteen miles east of Brownwood. A number of people were injured in the wreck, several seriously. One death, believed to be Mrs. Humphries, has since occurred. Mrs. E. A. Nimitz and Dr. H. Wiggins of San Angelo were among the injured, but it is thought they were not seriously hurt. As a result of the wreck San Angelo's incoming and outgoing railway mail and passenger service will be twenty-four hours behind schedule.
