Texarkana, Tex., Oct. 15/-A big dry kiln at the Gulf Cooperage Company’s plant, on Rose Hill, was destroyed by fire last night, causing a loss to the company of about $20,000, covered by insurance. The destroyed property consisted altogether of seasoned staves, all finished stock. The origin of the fire has not been ascertained.
