Damaging Blaze at Mexia.

Mexia, Tex., May 17.---About 2 o'clock this morning fire was discovered in the Mecca Cafe, owned by Brown & Bolton. the prompt arrival and work of the fire company confined the fire to the fire company and fine pressure of water an entire brick block would have been consumed, including the Opera House, which is located next to the damaged building. Brown & Bolton's lose will reach $1,250, with only $500 insurance. The building is the property of Mrs. J. Hickman. The estimated damage to the building is $500. Cause of fire unknown.
