Car Strikes Wagon; Driver Dies Quickly

George Allen, 60, Falls From Vehicle, Death From Fractured Skull Results.

Knocked from an express wagon by a northbound St. Louis avenue car at Fifth and Houston Streets, Monday afternoon, GEORGE ALLEN, 60, suffered a fractured skull that resulted in his death half an hour later.

ALLEN was standing in the rear of the wagon and he was knocked unconscious to the pavement. He was carried to the offices of Drs. Trigg & Trigg, 209 Fort Worth National Bank building, where he died.

The body was taken to Undertaker Sloan’s morgue.

Funeral services probably will be held at Sloan’s chapel, Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. ALLEN is survived by his widow and a son.
