In the Pendleton vicinity the following damage was reported: H. B. SUTHERLAND, six-room house and barn unroofed, all glass in dwelling broken; A. V. HODGE, two-room house blown to pieces, household effects scattered and HODGE and his wife injured by flying timbers but not dangerously; two girls in the family escaped without a scratch; Will SHINE, garage blown down, dwelling damaged, touring car wrecked and truck carried one-fourth mile and deposited in a pasture, battered, twisted and made valuless; Rogers MOORE, dwelling damaged by wind, glass broken; Asa NEAL, large new barn unroofed; C. H. MARTIN, barn unroofed; Abe MILLER, house and barn blown down; John SCHMEHLE, one-room left of large house, barn wrecked; B. J. BELK, dwelling wrecked top blown off and house off foundation; Tom BRAKEBILL, barn and garage demolished; Neal MEESER, roof blown off garage; M. L. BONEY, one-room of dwelling blown to pieces, part of roof torn off and all window glass broken; A. C. BUCHANAN, giant frame barn near Cedar Creek leveled and scattered over pasture; J. W. HONEYCUTT, dwelling unroofed and one room demolished.

Farm Buildings Wrecked
A number of miraculous escapes were reported. At the Abe MILLER place it is reported that a man named WHATLEY sensing that the house was about to go left it and made for a barn. Just as he reached the latter he saw it crumble and disappear.

Old residents say that not since 1894 have they witnessed such a terrifying spectacle. It was the third time within a period of three or four years that the Pendleton vicinity was storm swept.
