Lightning Strikes Sherman Home.

Sherman, Texas April 13 (Sp) Rain falling in Sherman Tuesday afternoon and night and up to 8 o’clock Wednesday morning amounted to 1.45 inches. Showers fell at intervals through the night and until 9 o’clock Wednesday morning. The gutters along the streets in different sections of the city were filled and some overflowing Wednesday morning at 8:45 o’clock, following a hard shower. Lightening during this rain struck the home of J. A. HENDERSON on Highland avenue, a short distance outside of the city limits. A chimney and the all paper in two rooms were damaged.
