CONDUCTOR AND FIREMAN IN WRECK STILL ALIVE.

GALVESTON, Texas, Aug. 18.-- Conductor M. Cannon and Fireman Huling H. Parker, who were badly injured by the explosion of a locomotive on a Santa Fe extra freight train between Algea and Alvin at midnight Friday night, were still alive at a local hospital at 8:30 a. m. Saturday. The body of Engineer T. A. ABRAMS, who was instantly killed by the explosion, was at a local undertaking establishment. S. L. Tucker, a brakeman, was also in the hospital with a wrenched back.
W. R. Vierick, brakeman of Belleville, who was seriously hurt was resting easily at the hospital.
