Santa Fe Passenger Train Passes Over A Man Near Paris.

Special To The News.

Paris, Tex., Oct. 29.---As the northbound Santa Fe passenger train was nearing Ben Franklin yesterday evening a man was discovered lying asleep with his head between two crossties and nearly abutting the rail. The discovery was made too late to stop the train and if the engineer had blown the whistle it could not have aroused him in time to get out of the way. Full steam was put on and the train glided by as rapidly as possible. After passing him the train was stopped and it was found that his forehead was scraped a little as the last truck passed, caused by his slightly raising him up. If he had raised his head two inches he would have been killed.
