Damage Near Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, Texas, April 14. (Sp).- A wind storm accompanied by heavy rain and some hail swept over the vicinity of Jacksonville Wednesday night, doing considerable damage to crops and leaving some roads impassible. It is not thought that the hail had damaged the tomato crop to a very great extent. During the storm fire, believed to have been caused by lightning, destroyed Kiesow’s Garage, located on Ragsdale Street. All tools and equipment were burned, together with several cars in the shop for repairs.

At Mount Selman, ten miles north of Jacksonville, two dwellings were demolished and one man seriously injured.

The Humble Company reported no damage had been done in the oil field and that work was resumed Thursday on the Earle & Ragsdale well and on the two big storage tanks.
