Lovelady, TX Playing With Matches Accident, Nov 1891
A Child's Awful Death.
LOVELADY, Tex., Nov. 6.----The 3 year old son of J. C. Manson, Jr., living some miles from here, was badly burned on the 4th and died that night. It seems that the children had a playhouse outside of the yard fence and this one and an older brother were at play out there, the parents both being in the field. The children had gotten hold being in the field. [sic] The children had gotten hold of some matches and started a fire when the clothes of the younger caught. The parents heard the screams and ran to the house and met the little fellow coming to meet them with his clothes all burned off.
