Drowned in Swimming Water.

GAINESVILLE, Tex., March 29.---The heaviest rain that has fallen in this city and county for many years commenced early yesterday morning and with slight intermissions the downpour continued until this morning. All streams are overflowed. MISS RUBY SMITH, daughter of Alderman Smith, of this city, and RICHARD THOMASON, of Era, were found about 9 o'clock this morning five miles west of this city dead. Miss Smith left home Saturday to visit friends at Era and was returning home yesterday evening, accompanied by Mr. Thomason. They drove into the Swimming water, their buggy was overturned and both were drowned.
