ESTACADO, TEX., Oct. 10. -- The Crosby county courthouse caught fire last night from under the floor by some unknown cause and had been burning several hours before it was discovered. The alarm was sounded about 2 o'clock a.m. and a large force turned out and after fighting the flames hard for several hours the fire was overcome. The fire burned through the judges', treasurer's and clerk's offices and reached as high as the tops of the windows on the second floor before it was finally extinguished. The boys from the ranches and citizens worked splendidly and the damages will not exceed $1000. The building is insured by the Phoenix company.
