Two stores Destroyed, Entailing Loss of Eighteen Thousand Dollars.

Mount Pleasant, Tex., July 16. – Fire broke out on the east side of the public square last night about 11 o’clock. John HORGROVE’S grocery store was destroyed, loss $13,000; insurance $9,000. George W. COKER’S drygoods store was also destroyed, loss $5,000; insurance $3,000. Other losses were: T. B. CALDWELL store, loss $1,000; insurance $700; Jesse GREER, confectionery, post office, Mrs. I. N. WILLIAMS, drygoods; J. T. ROWSEY, racket store, and Lilienstein Bros., drygoods and groceries, all considerably damaged by removal of stocks, covered by insurance.
