DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT ALICE.

Alice, Texas, July 19. -- Last night at one o'clock, fire broke out in the principal business block of Alice and destroyed every building in the block except the store of GEORGE HOBBS and Sons and the Citizens' State Bank.
The fire seemed to have originated in the Crow restaurant, situated at the rear of Delaney's saloon. A strong wind from the south caused the flames to spread rapidly and they soon became uncontrollable.
The total loss will amount to about $35,000.
