TORNADO DEATH TOLL CLIMBS.

Hubbard, Tex. (AP) -- The death toll rose to six Sunday from the devastasting tornado that struck Hubbard, a tiny Central Texas town, early Saturday.
The death-dealing twister virtually destroyed the small town, left nearly 100 injured, and combined with a second tornado that hit Burnet, northwest of Austin, caused several million dollars in damages.
Gov. Dolph Briscoe, who toured the stricken towns Saturday, asked the federal government to declare both vicinities disater areas.
Meanwhile, skies were clear over the entire state Sunday with temperatures rising at midday toward summery levels.
The day's maximum temperatures ranged from 88 at Brownsville down to 61 at Amarillo. Some other maximums included: Abilene, 73, Austin, 81, Dallas, 77, Houston, 83, Lufkin, 80, McAllen, 84, San Angelo, 75, San Antonio, 82, Tyler, 77 and Wichita Falls 73.
Widespread heavy rains that occurred in Northeast Texas Saturday during the almost statewide turbulence left flooding streams, especially along the Sulphur River which was expected to continue unruly through the middle of the week.
Those killed or dying of their injuries in the Hubbard tornado included:
LAVEADA KNOPEFOL REEDER, 44, of Hubbard who died early Sunday in a Waco hospital.
TESSIE JOHNSON, 72, of Hubbard who died late Saturday in Waco's Hillcrest hospital.
ED PAUL of Houston.
DAVID VOS, 6 years old, of Hubbard.
JOHN COGBILL and LEE GOLISKI, both of Pasadena.
