FOUR KILLED BY LOAD OFF UPSET TRUCK.

San Antonio, Tex. (AP) -- A careening dump truck
overturned Wednesday and threw its load of earth
onto a woman and three children, all of whom were killed.
Investigators said the dead are:
MARIA DOUGLAS, 25.
her daughter KAREN, 7.
a son, KENNETH, 8.
MICHAEL SMITH, 5.
They were crushed or smothered.
Another SMITH child, JERRY SMITH, 8, was hospitalized.
Officers said the truck went out of control and crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, throwing the dirt atop MRS. DOUGLAS' car.
ARTHUR D. CROSS, 46, the truck driver, was not injured, police said.
The SMITH children were the children of a friend of MRS. DOUGLAS.
