Rusk Social Worker Killed in Car Mishap

Rusk, Feb. 9. – Mrs. Lena GUINN, about 45, was killed Thursday night when she was struck by a car while walking to the Rusk State Hospital where she was employed.

Deputy Sheriff Allen DOTSON said Mrs. GUINN, a social worker, was walking on the highway pavement when she was struck by a car driven by a Rusk man who said he was blinded by lights of an approaching car. DOTSON said the accident appeared unavoidable.

Mrs. GUINN was the mother of Jack GUINN, member of the news staff of the Denver Post and former Associated Press staff member.
