Temple, Tex., Aug. 20.--The residence of J. A. Borders, a conductor on the Santa Fe, on South First street, was destroyed by fire at about 9 o'clock this morning. The residence and contents were a total loss. Loss estimated at about $3000; insurance unknown.

The residence of A.B. Adams of North Seventh street in this city was partially destroyed by fire late yesterday afternoon. The damage from fire was light, but smoke and water caused considerable damage, which was fully covered by insurance.
