Auto Causes Horse to Take Fright Near Detroit, Texas.

Special to The News.

Detroit, Tex., Aug. 21.---An automobile which passed through here late yesterday evening, met Mrs. Gad Wadley on the public road about four miles south east of here. She was in a buggy with a baby and her horse became unmanageable. The auto did not stop when the horse ran away, throwing her out and breaking her hip joint and injuring her internally. Her condition is serious. Those in the automobile did not stop to see if any damage was done or to help the lady to control her horse. The baby was not badly hurt. Excitement is high in regard to the accident. Those in the automobile are unidentified.
