Mercedes Suffers $15,000 Fire Loss
amounting to between $10,000 and $15,000 resulted from a fire which badly damaged a two-story stucco store building here Friday evening.
The loss is partially covered by insurance. The fire started in the upper story, which was occupied it was discovered by G. A. Coble, manager of the Chic-Inn restaurant, located in one of the down-stairs rooms. Origin of the blaze is unknown.
The building is the property of Ben Brooks, Jr.
