Insurance Man Badly Hurt as Auto Wrecked

LAREDO, Texas, March 18 (AP).---Ed Smith, San Antonio insurance man, was seriously injured Saturday when his automobile crashed into the concrete approach support of a bridge thirty-two miles north of Laredo near Cactus. The machine was demolished, a concrete post being driven through the radiator.

Smith suffered a fractured skull, fractured spinal vertebrae, cuts about the head, face and body. He was brought here to a hospital.
