One Dead, One Gravely Hurt, in Auto Crash

Fredericksburg, Texas, Dec. 12 (AP).-Two automobiles colliding head-on in a narrow valley between steep hills near here Sunday night resulted in the instant death of Suford Dixon, 19, of Sandy and injuries to Dorman Harper, 16, of Stonewall, that may prove fatal.

The two cars, loaded with young boys going to a dance, met on a culvert, the sudden impact hurling Dixon out of one car, over the other, and into a rocky ditch where he landed on his head.

Reinhard Behrends, 19, of Luckenbach, driver of one of the cars, was severely cut by flying glass. Young Harper, who is said to have been driving the other car, was brought to Fredericksburg, near death from a fractured skull.
