Waterloo, SC Fire, Jun 1905
The Waterloo Fire.
Special to The State.
Laurens, June 13.----Two small store buildings, together with most of their contents, were burned yesterday morning about 3 o'clock at Waterloo. The general belief is that an incendiary did the work.
One of the buildings was owned and occupied by Mr. T. E. Harris, merchant and postmaster, as a storage room. His loss is about $1,000; no insurance.
The other building was the property of the estate of Dr. W. R. Harris and was occupied by Mr. Willie McNeal, who conducted a general store. His loss is about $500; some insurance. The store room, worth $400, was uninsured.
The State, Columbia, SC 14 Jun 1905
