EIGHT MISSING IN PLANE CRASH, MYRTLE BEACH.

TWO OF THE FLIERS WERE FROM THE FLORENCE ARMY AIRFIELD.

Columbia, S.C., June 6. -- (AP) -- Crash boats searched today for the bodies of eight army fliers officially listed as missing but believed by officers to have died in the ocean crash of a medium bomber at about noon yesterday 10 miles off the coast near Myrtle Beach.
The plane, based at the Florence Army Field, was on a training mission, with six men from the Columbia Air Base and two from the home port aboard, Lieutenant Dan C. Moore, Columbia basic public relations officer said.
Moore said a board of officers was investigating the cause of the crash the first with fatalities of several weeks for army planes based in this area.
Those officially listed as missing and their next of kin were, from the Columbia Air Base:
Second Lieut. WILLIAM C. FULTON, pilot, father, Arthur R. Fulton of Mercersburg, Pa.
Second Lieut. JAMES R. CARNEY, father, James Carney of 524 Dover Place, St. Louis, Mo.

Staff Sgt. WALTER W. BUEGE, father, Adolf E. Buege of 704 Lake Street, Sandpoint, Idaho.
Staff Sgt. RICHARD E. MULLER, mother, Mrs. Louise Muller of Lodge Center, Minn.
Staff Sgt. ROBERT J. BURNS, father, Ralph E. Burns of 1811 Cole Street, Columbus, Ohio.
