Loss of a Nova Scotia Fishing Schooner and Her Crew of 19 Men.

HALIFAX, N S, Sept. 10. A schooner just returned to La Have from the Grand Banks brings the report of the loss of the schooner Cashier, of the same place. The vessels were fishing close together and the evening before the heavy gale of Aug. 22 swept over the banks, the Cashier and a French fisherman were seining at anchor. Next morning the fury of the storm had abated, nothing was to be seen of the schooner, but numerous pieces of wreckage were floating about. Without doubt the Cashier went down in the gale and her entire crew of nineteen perished. The Cashier was one of the finest fishermen sailing out of Nova Scotia. The crew were mostly young men, but some leave families. She was commended by Captain Reinhardt.
