RED CROSS LINER WRECKED, 104 DEAD, IS REPORT.

WRECKED OFF COAST OF NEWFOUNDLAND
AND POUNDS TO PIECES ON ROCKS.

LATEST REPORT IS THAT 104 OF CREW AND PASSENGERS LOST.

St. John's, Nfld., Feb. 24. -- The Red Cross line steamer Florizel, bound from this port for Halifax with 77 passengers and a crew of 69, was wrecked near Broadcover, 20 miles north of Cape Race, today.

DEATHS TOTAL 102.
Montreal, Feb. 25. -- A report from its Cape Race agent to the Marconi Telegraph company this morning gave the death list of the Florizel wreck as 102. The total number saved is reported to be 44.

St. John's, Nfld., Feb. 25. -- Forty-three persons aboard the Red Cross liner Florizel, wrecked near Cape Race in a storm early yesterday, were rescued today. The rescue ships brought the first batch of survivors to port and others were on the way this afternoon. Among the survivors are five saloon and seven steerage passengers.
Most of those saved were members of the crew. Among the survivors are:
