A BIG HOTEL BURNED TODAY.

Philadelphia, Oct. 11. -- The magnificent Bryn Mawr hotel, situated at the pretty suburban resort on the Pennsylvania railroad, 10 miles west of this city, caught fire this morning about 6:30 o'clock and was almost entirely destroyed.
A deflective flue from the kitchen was the cause of the catastrophe. The guests, 50 in number, and the servants escaped, but under considerable alarm. The loss is estimated at half a million. The insurance not ascertained.
